Luxury Travel Trailer Reviews
There are tons of luxury trailers out there, but here we broke down the best six on the market today and two more that are on their way. There’s no reason you can’t find a luxury trailer here that has everything you’re looking for!
1. Grand Design Reflection
If you’re looking for a premium fifth wheel that’s loaded with luxury features, then look no further than Grand Design’s Reflection.
It’s a huge fifth wheel with tons of storage space throughout, including a passthrough underneath storage. But in this guide, we’re looking for luxury, and the Reflection doesn’t disappoint.
There are nine different floor plans, and they all feature a spacious bathroom with a skylight over the shower. They also feature motion sensor LED lighting throughout, so you don’t have to fumble around looking for a light switch when it’s dark.
Another premium feature is the ductless flooring, so you don’t have to worry about cleaning out vents when stuff inevitably falls in.
From there, the kitchen is among the best in the industry, with a deep residential style stainless steel sink that caps off the luxurious design. The cabinetry throughout is residential in style, which gives you tons of storage space for kitchen equipment and extra gear.
The only real downside to the Reflection is the 12 cubic foot fridge and the larger gross vehicle weight. But even calling either of those things a drawback is a stretch. A 12-cubic foot fridge is more than large enough for most people, and it’s larger than what most fifth wheels offer.
Furthermore, you can tow these fifth wheels with a ½-ton truck or larger, which is what you would expect with any fifth wheel. If you’re in the market for a luxury fifth wheel, it’s a great option.
Pros
- Large 5th wheel has tons of space
- Showers have skylights
- 9 different floor plans to choose from
- Pass through storage gives you tons of space for your gear
- Motion sensor lighting
- Gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances
- Universal docking stations
- Ductless flooring and residential cabinetry
Cons
- High vehicle weight – UVA is between 7,000 and 12,500 pounds – needs a ½ ton truck to tow
- Refrigerator isn’t as big as as some (12 cubic feet)
2. Jayco Eagle
If you’re looking for a top-notch fifth wheel, you can’t make a list without including a Jayco product. That’s because Jayco has long been the top name in the industry, thanks in large part to the fact that they make high-quality products across every level.
The Jayco Eagle fills their luxury fifth wheel market, and it does a great job. Jayco offers four different floor plans to choose from, and all of them provide a plethora of luxury features. For instance, they even have a floor plan with both a master bathroom and a separate bathroom off the living area!
Another one of their unique floor plans offers both an indoor and an outdoor kitchen. Their floor plans come with an extra-large 21 cubic foot refrigerator – you won’t find another fifth wheel out there with a larger fridge.
The indoor and outdoor speakers, perfect for tailgates, add an additional spark of luxury. And while you can certainly pack the grill in the passthrough storage and set it up at the game, if you’d prefer to use the premium stainless-steel appliances inside to make your meals, no one would blame you!
The only real drawback to the Jayco Eagle is its weight. Obviously with so many luxury features, the weight is going to add up quickly. You’ll need a larger truck to tow this model, but you should expect that whenever you’re purchasing a fifth wheel.
Pros
- 4 different floor plans to choose from
- Some floor plans have two bathrooms
- Some floor plans have both an indoor and outdoor kitchen
- All floor plans include an extra-large 21 cubic foot refrigerator
- Exterior and interior speakers
- Pass through storage for tons of space
- Stainless steel kitchen appliances
Cons
- Heavy fifth wheel – you’ll need a large truck to tow it
3. Airstream Land Yacht
The Airstream Land Yacht is a luxury fifth wheel in its own right, but it offers different features than both the Jayco Eagle and the Grand Design Reflection. For instance, the 270 solar package is standard, and so is the rear-view camera.
From there, Airstream uses top-notch materials when constructing the Land Yacht, including handcrafted cabinetry. Furthermore, the Land Yacht includes heated towel bars and an aerated showerhead.
Everything about the Land Yacht screams luxury and will have visitors feeling jealous at all the amazing features. While some premium fifth wheels come with televisions, only the Land Yacht comes standard with a 60″ projector TV on some of its models.
Another nifty feature – the Airstream Land Yacht comes Wi-Fi enabled through AT&T. It might not sound like much, but it means no matter where you go, you have high-speed Internet without any external hookups.
While there are tons of things to love about this fifth-wheel, not everything is perfect. For instance, despite all the premium features and the full-sized kitchen, all models only come with a 9 cubic foot refrigerator.
While that’s a typical fridge size for a trailer, most luxury fifth wheels come with something a little larger to really set the trailer apart. It’s not a bad size, but we wish it was just a little bit bigger.
Pros
- 4 different floor plans to choose from
- 270 solar package is standard
- Rearview camera comes standard
- Handcrafted cabinetry
- Premium features like heated towel bars and aerating shower head
- Wi-Fi enabled through AT&T
- Some models have a 60″ projector TV
Cons
- Small 2-way 9 cubic foot refrigerator
- Heavy fifth wheel – you’ll need a large truck to tow it
4. The Sealander
If you’re looking for something unique, the Sealander is it. The Sealander is part luxury trailer and part luxury boat. You read that right; not only do you get all the premium features of a travel trailer that you can tow cross country, but when you get to a body of water, you can back it in and float around for the evening!
It comes with a stove, grill, shower, and a freshwater toilet. While there isn’t a ton of space on the Sealander, that’s part of its appeal since it makes it a lot easier to tow.
There’s bench seating inside the Sealander that converts into a bed. Furthermore, if you’re looking to enjoy a deck out on the open water, the Sealander doesn’t disappoint.
Everything about the Sealander screams class, and it opens up a ton of opportunities that you couldn’t get with a traditional trailer.
So, if you’re planning on taking a trip to the lake or just want to travel across the country, the Sealander is an excellent choice that stands out in many unique ways.
Pros
- Lightweight design
- Trailer/boat combo
- Includes a stove and grill
- Equipped with a shower and toilet
Cons
- Not as much space as the fifth wheel options
5. The Nest by Airstream
Just because you don’t have a large truck doesn’t mean you can’t have a luxurious trailer. The Nest by Airstream is a top-notch trailer that’s full of luxury features – and it’s small enough that you can tow it with an SUV.
It has both a full kitchen and a full bathroom, and that’s despite its smaller size. From there, it’s choked full of large, insulated windows, so you get tons of natural lighting.
Even better, despite its small size, there’s lots of storage space throughout, especially with overhead storage areas. If you want to take a lot of supplies along, you’ll be spoiled with space for all your gear, despite the smaller trailer size.
As a true premium feature, you can control all of the LED lighting throughout the trailer with a mobile app, so if you’re not feeling like getting up to turn off the lights, all you have to do is reach over to your phone.Furthermore, since you can dim all the lights, it’s easier than ever to set the mood without leaving the bed.
Of course, the Nest by Airstream is significantly smaller than the fifth wheel options, but if you don’t have ½ truck or larger, that’s precisely what you want.
All those premium features make this the most luxurious small travel trailer on the market – and you’ll be living your life in style without breaking the bank on an expensive truck that you don’t need.
Pros
- Lightweight design – can be towed with an SUV
- Equipped with a full kitchen setup
- Includes full bathroom setup
- Large windows throughout for lots of natural lighting
- Lots of overhead storage for all your gear
- Lights can be controlled with an app
Cons
- Smaller than some of the larger fifth wheels
6. Romotow Trailer
The Romotow trailer features a unique design that makes the most out of the living space. It starts by extending and dropping four anchor points. From there, the trailer’s body actually spins 90 degrees on its axis to give you a full covered porch in addition to the interior living space.
There will be multiple floor plans, and some will feature an extra bedroom for the kiddos, while others use that space for a full kitchen and living area. Every option will feature a full bathroom for a convenient camping experience.
The real drawback to the Romotow trailer is that it doesn’t exist yet. In fact, while they have an animation breaking down how it’s going to work, from there, details are scarce. There’s no scheduled release date, and you can expect that COVID-19 slowed down the production process.
It’s a trailer to keep your eye on, but if you’re looking for something now or even in the near future, this probably isn’t it.
Pros
- Unique design moves and gives you extra living space when you get to your destination
- Multiple floor plans give you the option for an additional bedroom or a full kitchen setup
- Every option has a full bathroom
Cons
- Not in production yet
7. Tesla Cybertruck Trailer
It seems that everything Elon Musk touches turns to gold. While that’s not entirely true, he and his products have a bit of a cult following. The Cybertruck has vaulted itself into the class of luxury and style, and it’s likely that the Cybertruck Trailer will too.
While Musk hasn’t officially released the Cybertruck Trailer, he has hinted at its release a few times. He’s also fiercely proud of how much the Cybertruck can tow, so there’s no reason that the Cybertruck Trailer won’t feature tons of top-notch features no matter the weight.
One of the advantages of the Cybertruck is that it’s entirely electric. Since Musk and Tesla make their own solar panels, there’s no reason to believe that they won’t combine the two technologies into the trailer to make it fully renewable.
Of course, this is all speculation, and if the past is any indication, we won’t find out anything definitive about the Cybertruck Trailer until Musk officially unveils it. Whenever that happens, it’ll be a conference worth watching.
Pros
- Fully electric
- Will likely feature a unique design
Cons
- No released product
- Details are scarce on what to expect
8. Bullet Premier Ultra Lite
If you’re looking for tons of options to choose from, the Bullet Premier by Ultra Lite has 10 different floor plans. They all hold up to the Ultra-Lite name, weighing less than 7,000 pounds despite their larger size.
Moreover, they all offer 43-gallon freshwater tanks, so you rarely have to worry about running out of water while showering or cooking. Ultra Lite filled the kitchens with premium stainless-steel appliances that give off a luxurious look every time you step inside.
Even better, some of the floorplans have washer/dryer hookups, so they have everything you need to live out of your trailer for a while. But what really sets these trailers apart is the living area accommodations.
They offer a premium living room design, finished off with a fireplace and a large television that sits overtop. It’s a luxurious finish that other fifth wheel floorplans have struggled to emulate.
The only drawback to this trailer is the small 8 cubic foot refrigerator. While that’s large enough for most people, it’s nowhere near the 21 cubic foot fridge that the Jayco Eagle offers, and it’s even smaller than the 12 cubic foot fridge in the Grand Design Reflection.
Pros
- 10 floor plans to choose from
- Lightweight for a fifth wheel with a UVA under 7,000 pounds
- Large 43-gallon freshwater tanks
- Stainless steel appliances and kitchen
- Some floor plans have washer/dryer hookups
- Large television over the fireplace
Cons
- Small 8 cubic foot refrigerator
